Mrs. Alice McDoniel Passes In Carolina
Gloverville, SC., Oct. 5-Mrs. Alice Helen Glover McDoniel, 73, well-known
resident of this section, died at her home near here today. (Hwy
421-Gloverville, SC) after an illness of several months.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock
at the grave side in The Glover Cemetery near Gloverville, SC with Rev.
Thomas Walker officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Burkhalter, Hubert Ford, T.J. Ford, Charley
Bowen, John Shaw, Wallace Burnett, W. R. Mills and H. H. Melton.
She is survived by her husband, Ezra McDoniel; one son Benjamin Glover
Turner (Father John Henry Turner), and three grandchildren, all of
Gloverville, SC.

The State of South Carolina County of Aiken In the Name of God, Amen.
I, Mrs. Alice Helen McDoniel, of the County of Aiken, State of South
Carolina, married lady, living with third husband, Ezra McDoniel, being,
through the blessing of God, in a sound state of mind and disposing
memory, calling to mind the frail tenure of life and that it is appointed,
by the Supreme Being, unto all men and women once to die, do hereby make,
publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all
former wills by me made, that is to say: principally and first of all I
consign my soul into the hands of Almighty God, who gave it to me. and the
disposal of my body I leave to the entire discretion of my friends.
With respect to my wordly estate, I direct that it be disposed of in the
manner following:
I give, devise and bequeath unto my only child, Benjamin Glover Turner,
all property of which I shall die possessed, real, personal or mixed, of
whatsoever nature and kind, wheresoever situate.
I state for information that I have been married thrice, as follows:
My first husband was John Turner, by whom I had one child, Benjamin Glover
Turner;
My second husband was Riley L. Johnson, who departed this life in the year
of 1907, by whom I had no children; my third husband, who is now living,
is Ezra McDoniel, by whom I have no children.
I nominate, constitute and appoint my brother-in-law, Frank Pickens
Turner, formally of the Town of Graniteville, in the county of AIken,
State of South Carolina, but now residing in the County of Saluda, State
of South Carolina, my true and lawful executoe of this my last Will and
Testament.
In Withness whereof, I Alice Helen McDoniel, have hereunto affixed my hand
and seal this the eight day of December, in the year of our Lord one
thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
