This old cemetery was located on the old home place of Joseph and Rebecca Kitchens. The land was originally owned by Joseph's father Seaborn Kitchens. Seaborn purchased the land (683 acres) from James Moon in 1846. When Seaborn died in 1854 the family divided the land . Joseph was his oldest son so he got the old home place. Jimmy Rivers owns the land today.
