William Suggs, age 80, farmer of Millen, Ga died suddenly from a heart attack on 6-26-1940. Daughters, Mrs. Griff Perryman, Mrs. Gertrude Hargrove, Mrs. Ernest Burke, Mrs. John McGlohorn and Miss Minnie Suggs; sons, W. S. Suggs, J. G. Suggs and L. E. Suggs all of Jenkins County. Interment in Big Horse Creek Church Cemetery.
Charlie J. Brinson, age 65, Jenkins County planter, died at his home following a heart attack on 8-31-1940. He has been ill the last two days. A native of Burke County but made his home near here the past 11 yrs. Interment in Green Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. He was the husband of Essie Hargrove Brinson; son, Julian Brinson; daughter, Miss Annie Laurie Brinson; sister, Mrs. Henry McGlohorn of Munnerlyn, Ga; brothers, Luther Brinson of Savannah and J. B. Brinson of Burke County; step-daughter, Mrs. George Oglesby of Millen, Ga.
4/3/1942 - Waynesboro, Ga - Burke County selective service board issued call number 27 to Jay Guy McGlohorn and Matt H. McGlohorn. They are to report April 11 for induction into the army. They will be sent to Ft. McPherson.
Henry R. McGlohorn, Munnerlyn, Ga., died May 6, 1953 died at his residence following an extended illness at the age of 95. Interment in Green Fork Baptist Church where he was also a member. A native of Dodge County, he spent most of his life in Burke County and Jenkins County. He was a retired farmer. He was the husband of Mrs. Emma Brinson Bell McGlohorn of Munnerlyn; sons, J. B. McGlohorn of Center Hill, Florida, Lloyd Bell, Berry Bell and Willie Bell all of Munnerlyn, Bennie Bell of Alexander, GA and Joe Bell of Waynesboro, Ga. Henry was born in 1874.
3/27/1962 - William O. McGlohon entered into rest March 25, 1962 at a local infirmary. He was 52 yrs. old. The body was conveyed to Tennille, Ga. for funeral services. Poteet Funeral Home.
3/27/1962 - Tennille, Ga - William O. "Bill" McGlohon, age 51 of Clearwater, SC died at Forest Hills VA hospital after an illness of four months. Marcus Funeral Home. Interment will be in Zeta Cemetery.
4/4/1963 - Pvt. Johnny L. McGlohorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Atticus McGlohorn of Waynesboro, Ga., has recently been assigned to Battery A of the 7th Artillery's 3nd Missile Battalion in Schweinfurt, Germany.
