Mary Alice Parrish McNair, a native of Jefferson County, Georgia, died 5/12/1941. Interment in Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Lived with her daughter, Mrs. E. S. Ivey, Gainesville, Florida for several years prior to her death. Widow of the late James Sidney McNair. Other children: R. Lee McNair, Wrens, Georgia, J. D. McNair, Lake Wales, Florida, J. L. McNair, Marion, Florida; brothers, Toombs Parrish, Augusta, Georgia, Ollie Parrish, Charleston, South Carolina, C. H. Parrish, Wrens, Georgia; sister, Mrs. Lula Gay, Augusta, Georgia. 12/18/1947 - Wallace M. Dorn, City Councilman, was held on a murder warrant for death of John McNair of Wrens, Georgia. John McNair was fatally wounded by Mr. Dorn from a fight on 12/10/1924. A week later Mr. McNair died at a local infirmary. Mrs. Donnie Smith McNair of Stapleton, Georgia died Sunday morning, 11/1/1925. She was born 5/31/1861, and was the widow of the late Elbert McNair. Member of Stapleton Baptist Church were she was also a member. Interment in the Stapleton Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. C. H. Schwall, Augusta, Georgia. |
