Jacob E. Asheford, 2411 1/2 Cummings Rd., died 2-11-1940 - Elliotts Funeral Home in charge. Interment West View Cemetery - age 77, illness of one month.  A native of Augusta, husband of the late Lizzie Goodwin Asheford - survived by one son, Lawson Goodwin, Belair; one step daughter, Mrs. Will Maddox, Ellenton, Ga., one grandchild, Jacob Goodwin, Grovetown.
