Atkinson

Emma Arrington Atkinson, age 62, wife of George C. Atkinson, died September 14, 1954  at her residence after an extended illness.  Funeral services conducted at Asbury Methodist Church.  Interment in Westover Memorial Park Cemetery.  A native of Jefferson County, Ga., she had lived in Augusta for the past 30 years.  She was the daughter of the late William D. and Catherine Louise Abbott Arrington.  She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. L. W. McGahee and Mrs. M. F. Clarke, both of Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Vina Kendricks of Stilson, Ga., and Mrs. Oma Kendrick of Pembroke, Ga.; one brother, Silas Arrington of Wrens, Ga.
