| John Harvey Bandy, Sr., 69, resident of 306 Cherry Street, McCormick, SC, husband of Dorothy Sparnell Bandy, died August 23, 2007. He retired from GTE after 29 years; Served in Army National Guard 25 years; on McCormick Town Council 30 consecutive years and McCormick Volunteer Fire Dept 36 years. He was Past Master of Mine Masonic Lodge #117. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two sons, John Harvey Bandy Jr. and wife, Tonia of Lakefield, MN and Jeffrey Wilton Bandy and wife, Hope of Ponca City, OK; a sister, Harriet "Boots" Bandy of Johnston; a brother, Joseph Wilton Bandy and wife, Sandra of Easley; grandchildren, Chas, Rex, Jasmine and Dillon and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at McCormick United Methodist Church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Overbrook Cemetery.
