Joseph Frazier "Joe", age 59 of Waynesboro, Ga., husband of Christine Frazier for 40 years, entered into rest Sunday, July 13, 2008 at his home. Mr. Frazier was born on February 20, 1949 to the late Joseph Elmo Frazier and Burnice Elizabeth Thames. Before Mr. Frazier retired, he had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Burke County for 17 years and also owned and operated Thomas Grocery Store in Waynesboro for 25 years. The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from Corinth Christian Church with Reverend Wane Dixon officiating. Interment Services will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Christopher Farrer, Bobby Adams, Bobby Perry, Hank Tobias, James T. Tobias, and Norbert Tobias Jr. Honorary pallbearers are friends of Mr. Joe Frazier. Family members include a daughter, Pamela D. Frazier-Clayton, and a son, Joey D. Frazier (Sabrinia), Brothers and Sisters are John M. Frazier (Mary ) of Conyers, GA James E. Louis H. Frazier, 54, of Girard, died (9-1-1965) at the Burke County Hospital following an extended illness, funeral services at Girard Wesleyan Methodist Church. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of Burke County, he was a son of the late John and Texie Godbee Frazier and was member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a farmer and was also an employee of the Keller Aluminum Chairs Co. of Waynesboro, Ga. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Josie Dixon Frazier; sisters, Mrs. Walter Morrison and Mrs. Ruth Martin, both of Glennville, Ga.; brothers, J. L. Frazier, Girard, and T. J. Frazier, Girard, and T. J. Frazier, Orlando, Fla.
WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Tommie J. Frazier, 71, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Burke Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1935 in Burke County to the late Tom Boynton and Agnes Loren Boynton. She was a longtime resident of Waynesboro and worked at Taylor's Drug Store for 22 years. Mrs. Frazier enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Homer Frazier; son and daughter in law, Stephen and Spring Elliott, of Waynesboro; step mother, Totsy Boynton, of Waynesboro; 4 brothers, Gene Nelson, of Waynesboro; Ray and Mickey Boynton, of Millen; and Henry Boynton, of Waynesboro; 3 sisters, Mary McClain, and Lottie McKinney, both of Waynesboro; and Diane Hall of North Augusta, S.C.; 4 grandchildren, Craig Elliott, of Waynesboro; Melissa Elliott Bazemore, of Statesboro; Jayme Elliott and Ben Nelson, of Waynesboro; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of DeLoach - Kennedy Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mickey and Ray Boynton, James and Shawn Barefield, Reuben Frazier, and Al Perkins.
