 Charlie
Ferman "Papa" Gay, Matthews, Ga., 69, husband of Frances Stewart Gay and
the son of the late Tommy Franklin Gay and Nora Mae Hobbs Gay, entered into
rest Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Funeral services at James Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. A native of Warren County.
Mr. Gay was of the Baptist Faith, he was retired from J. M. Huber Corp.
after 26 years of service as a supervisor, and he was in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Gay; a stepson, Steve (Teresa)
Arrington; a daughter, Anita (Dean) Maruca; two brothers, Edward (Betty Ann)
Gay, Eugene (Estelle) Gay; three sisters, Dorothy Newsome, Doris Stewart,
Alice Nutt; six grandchildren, Lee-Ann (Michael) Watson, Stephanie
Arrington, Amber Maruca, Sarah Arrington, Megan Maruca, Trent Maruca; and a
great-grandchild, Lauren Taylor Watson. |
Iris Morris Gay (Mrs.) Funeral
services for Mrs. Iris Morris Gay, who died in an Augusta hospital were held at
Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Harlem Sunday afternoon at 3:00, the Reverend J.
P. McGraw officiating.
Mrs. Gay is survived by her husband, John Thomas Gay, parents Mr. & Mrs. M. P.
Morris, three sisters, two brothers and an infant child. Augusta
