Hattie Bell Herrington Joyner, age 82 of Millen, Georgia died Thursday, January 11, 1990. Funeral services held at Green Fork Baptist Church, near Millen. Burial in the church cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bunny Purvis, Augusta, Martha Chester, Statesboro, Mrs. R. A. McQueen, Gastonia, North Carolina and Maxine Scoggins, Birmingham, Alabama; three sons, Billy Joyner, Sardis, and Talmadge Joyner and David Lee Joyner, both of Waynesboro. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home in charge.
James Needham Joyner, of Leslie Drive, Waynesboro, Burke County, Georgia, age 41, died Saturday, July 22, 2000. Son of Talmadge and Frances Joyner. Husband of Geraldine (Geri) Brookins Joyner. Two children; Kevin James Joyner and Courtney Jana Joyner both of Burke County, Georgia. Other survivors; a brother, John Williams Joyner, McBean; and two sisters, Jeannie Flanagan, Augusta, and Lee Ann Joyner, Sardis. James was a native of Richmond County, was a material handler at Kimberly Clark. He was co-founder of Spring Branch Sportsman Club. Funeral services held at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church were he was also a member. Interment in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Sardis.
Marvin Joyner, age 37 of Sardis, Georgia, died December 20, 1980 in a Richmond County hospital. Funeral services held at Sardis Baptist Church. Interment in the Sardis Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Chad Joyner, Florida; his mother, Hattie B. Joyner, Millen, Georgia; three brothers, Billy Joyner, Sardis, David L. Joyner and Talmadge Joyner, Waynesboro, Georgia; five sisters, Viola Purvis and Martha Pierce, Augusta, Ethel Weeks, Girard, Georgia, Jeanelle McQueen, Gastonia, North Carolina and Maxine Scoggins, Atlanta, Georgia. Deloach Funeral Home, Waynesboro in charge.
