Lizza Lou Sasser Lanier, 90, of 104 Pine Road, died Sunday, January 2, 1994, at Burke County Hospital. Funeral services at Little Horse Creek baptist Church, Sylvania, Ga. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Wife of Louis Lanier. Native of Jenkins County, had retired as a nurse from Mulkey hospital and was a member of Little Horse Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include: son, Floyd Chance, Millen; daughters, Bertha Golden, Millen, Jewel Radcliff and Willie Frances Robinson, both of Waynesboro; step-sons, Ray Lanier, and Hillis Lanier, both of Atlanta, Mitchell Lanier and Bobby Lanier, both of Metter. Crowe Fields Funeral Home, Millen, Ga in charge.
Louis Lanier, age 84, died 12-19-1991, at Metter Nursing Home. Funeral services at Kennedy Funeral Home. Interment in the Lake Cemetery. Mr. Lanier, a lifelong resident of Candler County. A retired farmer and was owner of Lanier Produce. A member of Metter First Baptist Church. Husband of Liza Lou Sasser Lanier; four sons, Ray Lewis Lanier, Talking Rock, John Hillis Lanier, Stone Mountain, and William Bobby Lanier and Mitchell Mickey Lanier, both of Metter, a stepson, Floyd Chance, Millen, three stepdaughters, Bertha Golden, Millen, and Jewell Radcliff and Willie Frances Robinson, both of Waynesboro; two sisters, Annie Webb, Severn, Md., and Picola Myers, Pertersburg, Va.
