Long

James Matthews Long, died March 21, 1954, Waynesboro, Ga. age 76.  Funeral conducted at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Interment in the church cemetery. He died at his residence near Girard after an extended illness. He was the son of the later John Perry and Ella Virginia Long. A retired farmer and a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Survivors are: five daughters, Mrs. C. F. Dixon, Mrs. Eula Mock and Mrs. Dorothy Mitchum all of Girard., Mrs. J. B. Timmerman of Lincolnton, Ga., and Mrs. T. W. Herrington of Perkins; three sons, F. E. Long of Sardis, J. P. Long and Sterling Long of Girard; three sisters, Mrs. George Perry, Mrs. Lorena Zeigler, and Mrs. Lessie Jenkins, all of Sardis; two brothers, W. G. Long of Girard.  (TAC)
