MILLS

Thomas Joseph Mills, 66, who died February 20, 1937 at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. G. W. Prince, 504 1/2 Broad Street, Thursday morning, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. Interment at West View Cemetery. A native of Lincoln County but had been living in Augusta for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Foshee Mills; four sons, Jesse Lee Mills, Clarence Mills, C. A. Mills, Harry E. Mills; four daughters, Mrs. C. W. Hilliard, Mrs. J. P. Cooper and Mrs. Prince; brother, R. S. Mills, all of Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Goodwin of Augusta and Mrs. John Conners of Charleston, S.C.  Other Notes Credited to Brenda Drews - Thomas Joseph Mills was born March 22, 1877 in Lincoln County,  He was the son of Robert Albert Mills and Elizabeth Rebecca Pemberton Brown,  He married Mattie Talleulah Foshee 1897 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia.  She is the daughter of Robert Benjamin Foshee and Margaret A. G. Bodie.  She was born October 15, 1875 in Edgefield, South Carolina and died October 28, 1960 in Augusta, Richmond County, Ga.
