Powell

J. H. Powell was taken Saturday, 7-8-1923, at his plantation near Louisville, Ga., with heart trouble and died on Monday morning. He was a prosperous farmer. He leaves his wife and six children.

John D. Powell, 72, died  yesterday afternoon at his residence in Graniteville, SC after an illness of three weeks.  Funeral conducted at Graniteville Methodist Church.  Interment in the churchyard cemetery.  One son, Joe Powell, of Graniteville.  (The Augusta Chronicle-5-1-1933)
