Sexton

Sexton, Walter C. - age 45, veteran of WWI, died 7-21-1943 at the residence of Mrs. Ernest Creed, Belvedere, S.C. after an extended illness. Funeral services held at Curtis Baptist Church.  Interment in the Langley Cemetery. A native of Tennessee, lived in Augusta for some years. Member of the Curtis Church.  Husband of Elsie Creed Sexton: two sons, Corporal Clyde H. Sexton, U.S. marine Corps, Australia, and Ray W. Sexton of Augusta; sisters, Mrs. Cora Wright of Spartanburg, S.C. and Mrs. Bessie Knighton of Fountain Inn, S.C.; brothers, Sam H. and John Sexton of Woodruff, S.C.  The Augusta Chronicle
