Mrs. C. W. (Annie Mae Barton) Stephens, 53, of Wrens died at University Hospital in Augusta, August 7, 1934. She was the daughter of Dr. Robert T. and Savannah Rivers Barton of Wrens. The funeral was held at Wrens Methodist Church and final rites held at Wrens Cemetery. Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Elizabeth and Norma Stephens; four sons; Ralph H., John Barton, Charles W., Jr., and Robert Clarence Stephens; four sisters, Mrs. J. A. (Sallie) McCray of Savannah, Mrs. James W. (Bermuah) Stapleton of Stapleton, Mrs. D. S. (Lena) Landrum and Mrs. George T. (Belle) Williams, both of Wrens; three brothers, Dr. John J. Barton of Dublin, Ga., Dr. Atticus H. Barton of West Point, Ga., and George T. Barton of Augusta. - The Jefferson Reporter.
Tampa J. Stephens, Keysville, Ga., age 74, died Monday in a Louisville, Ga., hospital. Funeral services held at Keysville Methodist Church. Interment in the church cemetery. A retired textile worker, a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Made his home in Burke County for the past 32 years. A member of the Church of Nazarene. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Daley Stephens, Keysville; eight daughters, Mrs. C. A Newman, Mrs. Lois Newman, Blythe, Ga., Mrs. Ann Taylor, Keysville, Ga., Mrs. Jeanette Adams, Augusta, Mrs. Joan Farmer, Belton, Texas, Mrs. Jane Beckworth, Stapleton, Ga., and Mrs. Ricky Prescott and Mrs. Bonnie Krause, Dania, Fla.; two sons, M/Sgt. Dennis Stephens, Warner Robbins, Ga. and Russell Stephens, Keysville; one brother, Ed Stephens, Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Foy Scott, Laurenburg, N.C. ; Mrs. Bonnie Jackson, Augusta, Ga. (TAC)
