Williams
Chester Williams, 18 years old of Edgehill, Ga., was killed and Clayton Hadden was seriously injured January 20, 1930. Williams was pinned under the truck and was dead when help arrived. The young man had gone to Mr. J. W. Walden's about a stove and the wreck occurred as short distance from Mr. Walden's residence. They were enroute from Augusta, Ga with a load of furniture for Mr. Hadden.
William Homer Williams, 62, retired farmer of Wrens, passed away (11-14-1962) in an Augusta infirmary after several months of declining health. Husband of Mrs. Alma Hadden Williams. A native of Jefferson county, the son of the late Timothy Williams and Mrs. Sudie Sheppard Williams and was educated in Avera schools. A member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Avera. Survivors include: his wife; daughters, Mrs. Alva Newsome of Augusta, Miss Edith Williams of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. George Pennington of Midville, Ga., and Mrs. R. E. McGahee of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; sons, G. T. Williams of Wadley, Mervin Williams of Augusta, Everette Williams of Ranroul, Ill, Jack Williams of Colorado Spring, Colo., and Bobby Williams of Ft. Knox, Ky.; brothers, George Williams and Lake Williams of Stapelton, Ga., and Willie Williams of Savannah; sisters, Mrs. John Sheppard and Mrs. Aaron Rooks, both of Stapleton, Ga.; 14 grandchildren. Groover Funeral Home in charge.
