Young

Elizabeth Prescott Young, one of our oldest and most esteemed  citizens, died on Saturday evening, July 16, 1932, at her home in Wrens after a long illness.  She is the wife of Jim W. D. Young.  Interment at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery, near her girlhood home, on Sunday afternoon.  She is survived by her husband, two sons, Edgar J. Young of Wrens and Dave Young of Rockmart, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. J. P. Florence Jr., of Wrens; four brothers, Elbert, Willis, William and Jessie Prescott; three sisters, Mrs. Charlie James, Mrs. Mary Parker and Mrs. Vinie Windom. Source: The Jefferson Reporter.  ~  Per the book "Cemeteries of Jefferson County Ga., by Leroy Lewis", Elizabeth Prescott Young was born August 17, 1858 and died July 9, 1932.  Her husband Jim W. D. Young was born February 27, 1855 and died September 5, 1935.  Both buried in Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery.~
