9-5-1801- Twenty Dollars Reward - Runaway some time in June last a negro man named Peter, stout, well made, about six feet high and marked with a small box. Any person delivering to Mrs. Jacob Danforth of Augusta, Ga or secure him in any jail in the state of Ga., shall receive the above reward. Andrew Glover, South Carolina, Edgefield District.

7-21-1890 - John W. Glover is listed as Warden in the town election of Batesburg, South Carolina. The Augusta Chronicle.
5-9-1904 - Wade Glover has been ill with a breakout of small pox.
1-3-1905 - Miss Martha Glover, of Atlanta, Ga., engagement to Mr. Barrett Phinizy, of Athens, Ga. Mr. Phinizy is related to two of the most influential and prominent Augusta families and is very widely connected throughout the states. The engagement will be consummated on the 3nd of January. Miss Glover is popular in Atlanta, Ga and is the adopted daughter of Mrs. James Hunter. She is a tall, brunette with soft brown eyes.
12-10-1905, Lucy Glover Durisoe - Edgefield, SC, died suddenly last night at her home on Main. St. from second stroke of paralysis. She was over 60 years old and had been ill in health for some months. Daughter of Wiley Glover, deceased and was twice married, first husband, Gus Tompkins and the second husband, D. R. Durisoe who at one time owned the Edgefield Advertiser. She left no children but several relatives.
2-33-1918 - Glover, Elsie, passed away this Friday morning at 8:30 at her Langley, South Carolina home. She is survived by her children: Mrs. Duler Wade and Henry Glover both of Langley, SC; Mrs. Lizzie Young of Augusta, Georgia; Mrs. Elsie Pryor of Brown Hill and Mrs. Ida Morgan of Hephzibah, Georgia.
12-27-1919, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Glover are still grieving over the loss of their two children who died from influenza. Frank Glover was a young man of twenty years of age and the daughter, Miss Allie May, eighteen years of age.
1-30-1922, Walter Glover, age 64 died at University Hospital after an illness of six months. Funeral services at R. E. Elliott and Sons funeral chapel. Interment in the West View Cemetery. Survivors: one brother, Samuel Glover; one uncle, Joseph Glover; and two aunts, Mrs. Mary Glover, Augusta and Mrs. Eliza Cameron, Atlanta.
8-23-1924 - Mrs. W. H. Glover has her sister, Miss Lucy Plunkett visiting her from Eureka, SC.
1-25-1927 - William J. Glover died at a local infirmary following an illness of ten weeks. Elliott & Sons funeral home in charge. Interment in the city cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth A. Glover; daughter, Margaret Glover; father and mother; brother, J. M. Glover; sisters, Mrs. Pat Jennings and Mrs. O. H. Houser.
10-2-1928 - Three car loads of horses were shipped to Aiken, SC by Thomas Glover and the Chipchase Riding School were unloaded this morning. 30 horses were for Glover livery stables here and 50 saddlers for the chipchase school. This is the first shipment of horses to Aiken and marks the early approach of the winter season. Some of the latter animals were sent here for the Boy's Preparatory school which opens here on the 15th.
2- 22-1933, at Meadow Garden, given by Augusta Chapter D.A.R. in honor of George Washington. This Chapter never fails to honor the birthday of the Father of his country, with a program at Meadow Garden and the public is invited to come out and enjoy the musical event. Among the countless interesting historical objects that fill the rooms of Meadow Garden, one object of special interest will be a Stradivarius violin loaned for the occasion by M. O. Glover. The violin belonged to his great-great-grandfather, Robert Wiley Glover, of Alexander, Va., who was on Washington's staff and who purchased the violin in 1775 in Charleston. On Washington's birthday each February so the tradition of the family says, Robert Glover would play the violin in honor of Washington's birthday.
Elizabeth Glover Young, died 12-27-1935 at her residence at the age of 58. Interment in Glover Cemetery Beech Island, SC. Wife of R. T. Young. A sister, Mrs. E. L. Pryor of Winnsboro; brothers, C. A. Glover, H. P. Glover, both of Gloverville, SC and Wade Glover of Langley, SC
1-13-1938 - Will Glover, 631 Fenwick Street was burglarized. The thieves twisted the front lock and opened an electric phonograph. About $3 and a revolver were taken. No suspects were arrested.
6-8-1942, John H. Boone, age 75, h/o Mrs. Mae Glover Boone, died at his residence. Interment at Stapleton Baptist Church. He died after a long period of declining heath. A prominent farmer and civic worker. A native of Washington County and had lived in the same house for 43 years. Served as a Justice of the Peace and a notary public and was a member of the Stapleton Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mae Glover Boone; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Martin of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Mrs. (Mae Boone) J. T. Underwood, of Atlanta; four sons, Harry Boone, of Stapleton, A. S. Boone, of Charlotte, N. C., R. E. Boone of Atlanta, and John Boone, Jr., of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, C.A. Boone of Deep Step, Ga., and Robert Boone of Sandersville, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. J. R. Mills of Adrian, Ga.
1-20-1963, Sarah Glover Smith, 2054 Central Ave., died in a local hospital after an extended illness. Interment in Westover Memorial Park. Born in Jefferson County, Ga., a daughter of the late James T. Glover and Mary Peebles Glover, she had lived in Augusta, Ga., most of her life. She was the widow of Mahon T. Smith and member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Dorothy Smith, Augusta; son, M. T. Smith, Jr., Green, S.C.; sister, Mrs. Alma G. Wren, Augusta.
Clarence B. Glover, age 67, of 15 S. Britton Rd., Springfield, retired mechanical engineer died 9-17-1965 in Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Upper Darby. He was born in Beech Island, SC and had lived 23 years in Springfield. Retired from the united Engineers and Constructors Inc. of Philadelphia where he had been employed more than 40 years. A member of Covenant Methodist Church and Springfield Masonic Lodge. Survivors: his widow, the former Ester Foye; daughters, Mrs. Lois Becker and Mrs. Barbara Anderson; brothers, William Glover, Carlton and Robert Glover, all of Georgia; sister, Mrs. Mamie Daniel of Georgia. Interment in Valley Forge Gardens, King of Prussia.
2-15-1971, Harry Boone, died at the age of 77. Interment at Stapleton Baptist Church. S. A. Blanchard Funeral Home in charge, Gibson, Ga. Son of John F. and Mae Glover Boone. Retired farmer. Native of Jefferson County. A veteran of WWI. Survivors: a sister, Mrs. Mae Boone Underwood of Atlanta, Ga., two brothers, Ralph E. Boone of Atlanta, Ga., and John Boone of Arlington, Virginia.
Glover, Robert Edward, Sr. - age 63, died 7-22-1976 in a Burke County hospital. Interment in Burke Memorial Gardens. A native of Burke County, was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Coleman Bible Class. Survivors: his wife, Jean Burch Glover, sons, Robert E. Glover, Jr., Columbia, Gary A. Glover and Jerry M. Glover, Augusta and Eugene B. Glover, Waynesboro; daughters, Mrs. Virginia G. Jenkins and Miss Marjorie Eve Glover, Waynesboro; sister, Mrs. Laurie Daniel, Waynesboro; brothers, William Glover, Orangeburg, SC and Carlton Glover, Augusta. Deloach Funeral Home in charge. Note: Robert was born on 9-2-1912.

Arhur L. wright of Warrenville, South Carolina, age 54, of 23 Waterloo Place died 9-13-2009 and is buried in the Glover Cemetery, Langley, South Carolina.
