6-22-1805 - Sheriff's Sale, Jacksonborough, Scriven County, the following property will be sold, 100acres of land of Christie, the ponds and Savannah River, take by virtue of two executions, the suit of Charles Nesmith and William Scarbrough. -  Mund Gross, S.S.C.

8-11-1805 - Taken up in Scriven County, a negro man named Ben, says he belongs to Alexander McNair, South Carolina, near Camden.  The owner is requested to come forward, and pay dues to take him away.  - Mund Gross, S.S.C.

9-30-1840 - Jefferson Sheriff's Sale - Will be sold on the first Tuesday in December next, at the Market House, in the town of Louisville within the legal hours of sale, three Negroes, to wit: Lydia, a woman slave, and her two children, Augustus and Henry.  Also, a quality of Household Furniture, consisting of Slab, Sofa, beds, and Bedsteads, Clocks, and sundry other articles in the house-keeping line.  Said property, levied on as the property of Owen McDermott, upon foreclosure of Mortage, of Sherrod Arrington vs. said McDermontt.  Property pointed out in said Mortgage fi.fa.  William S. 10-29-1842-Jefferson County Sheriff Sale, Held December, first Tuesday at the market house, Louisville, Ga., one house and lot in the town of Louisville, adjoining lots of R. A. L. Atkinson and others, levied as the property of Benjamin Ayer, to satisfy a warrant in favor of Hugh McNeeley verses Ayer.  Also, four hundred acres of pine land, lying on the north side of Ogeechee River, adjoining lands of Womble and other, levied as property of Maurice Walden,  One negro girl, Patience, three years old, levied as property of Maurice Walden, and found in possession of Matthew Johnson, to satisfy one fi fa issued from Washington Superior Court in favor of Daniel Harris, guardian for Emily MatthewsW. 7-13-1843 -Jefferson County, Ga - Whereas Thomas Matthews and Charles Matthews, administrators on the estate of Aquilla Matthews, deceased, apply for letters dismissory on said estate.  These are therefore to cite and admonish, all and singular, the kindred and creditors of said deceased, to be and appear at my office, within the time prescribed by law, to show cause, if any they have, why said letters should not be granted.  Given under my hand at office in Louisville, 7-13-1843-  E. 9-27-1845 - Administrator's Sale - On the first Tuesday in December next, will be sold, at the court house door in Warrenton, Warren County, agreeable to an order of inferior court of said county, when sitting for ordinary purposed, all the lands lying in said county belonging to the estate of John Parker, late of said county, deceased; and on the 15th day of November, at the late residence of said deceased, a portion of personal property of his estate, consisting of cotton corn, fodder and a few small articles.   Boze B. kitchens, Adm'r.

12-8-1845 - Administrator's Sale - Will be sold, on the first Tuesday in March next, before the court house door in Louisville, Jefferson County, between the usual hours of sale, 200 acres of land, adjoining lands of J. 1-15-1846 - Scriven County Superior Court-Pertition to Foreclosure Mortgage-Augustus S. Jones vs. William P. Causseaux and Mary Herrington. The principal, interest, and cost, still due on a certain mortgage made and executed by the said William P. Causseaux and Mary Herrington, in favor of the said Augustus S. Jones, bearing date on the 4th day of May in the year of the Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two for certain several tracts of land containing together three hundred and fifty acres, situated and lying and being in the county of Scriven, on Brier Creek, bounded on the East by lands of Richard Herrington, south by Brier Creek, and on all other sides by Lands of A. S. Jones; being the plantation then rented to Elijah Oliver for the said eighteen hundred and forty two.  The estate of Stephen Herrington was partitioned to the said William P. Causseaux, in right of his wife and to the said Mary Herrington.   Members and appurtenances  to the tracts of land belonging or in any wise appertaining origin default thereof that he be forever barred and foreclosed of his equity of redemption in the said bargained premises and that a copy of this rule be published in one of the public gazettes or this State once a month for court or served on the defendants, personally, three months before the next term.      Alexander Kemp, Clerk-

5-4-1848 - Warren Sheriff Sales- June, First Tuesday next before the courthouse in Warrenton, Warren County, the following property, viz: One Bay Mare, Bridle and Saddle and Blanket; levied as property of Telbert Thomason, to satisfy a fi. fa. issued from Warren Inferior Court in favor of Martholomise Parker verses Telbert Thomason and his wife, Mary Ann.  Also, at the same time one hundred acres Pine Land, lying in whereon Vicy Wilkinson now lives, on the waters of Reedy Creek, adjoining lands of John McNair and others; levied on the property of Archibald Smith, to satisfy five fi. fas. issued from the Justice Court of 150th District, G. M., of said county, in favor of Drucilla Denton, guardian of the minor heirs of Aaron Denton, deceased, verses George S. 1-12-1849 - Jefferson County, Georgia-  Whereas Levin Arrington and Willie Arrington, executors on the estate of Silas Arrington, by their petition laid before the court of ordinary of said County, stating that they had fully administered on said estate, apply for letters of dismission thereon:   These are therefore to cite and admonish, all and singular, the kindred and creditors of said deceased to be and appear at my office, within the time prescribed by law, to show cause, if any they have, why said letters of dismission should be granted.   Given under my hand at office in Lousville, this 12th day of January 1849.   ja12    Ebenezer Bothwell, Clerk

11-8-1850- Georgia, Warren County - In the Inferior Court of said county, sitting as a Court of Ordinary, November Term 1850.  The Petition of James Chalker, of said county, having been heard, showing that William Avery, of said county, departed this life after having make and executed a bond, conditioned to make to the said Jas. Chalker titles to a certain lot or track of land in said county, containing about two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, on the waters of Deep Creek, adjoining lands of Carter and others, and praying that Hiram N. Walker, administrator of the estate of William Avery, may be required to make valid  titles to the premises, a copy of the said bond having been filed with the aforesaid Petition.  All persons having any interest in said estate are hereby notified to appear before this Court, in the time required by law, to show cause, if any they have, why the prayer of said petitioner should not be granted.  A true extract from the minutes of said Court, November 4, 1850.   Patrick N. 9-18-1853-Administrator's Sale - the Ordinary of Warren County, to sell a negro man by the name of York, belonging to the estate of Mund Gross, deceased, will be sold in Warrenton, first Tuesday in November for the purpose of distribution. - James Park,

4-26-1856 - Jefferson County Ga., Whereas Robert Stevens, Simeon Williams and Lawson Williams, executors of the estate of James Williams, late of said county deceased, applies to me for letters of dismission.  These are therefore to city and admonish all singular, the kindred and creditors of said deceased to be and appear at my office within the time prescribed by law to show cause of anything have, why said letters should not be granted.  Given under my hand at office in Louisville, Ga.  Nicholas Diehl, Ordinary  

9-16-1856, Executor's Sale - Jefferson County, December first Tuesday at the Market House in Louisville, lot of land, containing two thousand acres, adjoining, Robert Stevens, Benjamin Weeks, and others.  Also a small lot of land,  Jefferson County, 100 acres of land adjoining land of Daniel R. Irby and others.  Sold as property of L. B. Bostick.  - A. B. Walker, Exr. and M.A.M. Bostick, Extrix.

12-20-1858 - 500 acres of land, more or less, adjoining R. L. Gamble and others, formerly known as Gamble Mill Place.  Levied on as the property of William W. Allen, to satisfy a mortgage fl. fa. from Jefferson Superior Court in favor of Roger L. Gamble, vs William W. Allen, property pointed out in said mortgage. J. S. Milling D. Sh'ff -

3-19-1859 - Guardian's Sale - Will be sold at the Market House, city of Augusta, on the first Tuesday in May, under an order from the honorable the Court of Ordinary of Richmond County, one Negro Woman salve names "Margaret", about 35 years of age.  Sold as the property of the minors of Seaborn Randall, deceased. - James Watkins, Guard'n

4-2-1860-State of Georgia, Richmond County, James Watkins, Administrator on the estate of Seaborn Randall, deceased, applies for Letters of Dismission. These are therfore to cite and admoniah, all and singular the kindred and creditors of said deceased, to be and appear at my office, on or before the first Monday in November, to show cause, if any they have, why said letters should not be granted.  Given under my hand and official signature, at office in Augusta- Foster Blodget, J., Ord'y.

10-1875 - Guardian's Sale - By virtue of an order from the Honorable the Court of Ordinary of Richmond County, Georgia, will be sold, on the First Tuesday in October, 1875, at public outery, at the Lower Market House, in the city of Augusta, within the legal hours of sale, the following real estate, belonging to the estate of Anna C. Bush and Thomas P. Jones and Warren L. Jones: A certain tract of Land in said county; bounded north by road running between said tract of Land and land of William H. Goodrich and Warren & Baton.  Said tract of Land containing, according to a survey made on the 20th day of April, 1843, by James D. 10-24-1875 - Richmond Sheriff's Sale - Will be sold, at the Lower Market House, in the city of Augusta, on the First Tuesday in October next 1875, during legal hours of sale, the following property to-wit-  All that tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in county of Richmond, State of Georgia, on the waters of Briar and Boggy Gut Creek, containing 361 acres, more or less, and adjoining lands of R. McNair, Alexander Averitt, B. C. Gay, James Patterson and others, being the same tract of land sold and conveyed to Smith James by Robert McNair.  Levied on by virtue of a fi.fa. issued from Richmond Superior Court in favor of Robert McNair vs. Smith James.  - Charles H. 4-15-1878 - State of Georgia, Richmond County - Whereas, B. C.  3-19-1944 (TAC) Warranty deeds amounting to approximately $3,550 were filed yesterday in the Richmond County clerk's office. Bessie M. Forbes, Charles C. Forbes, Edna Forbes Johnston and George W. Forbes sold to C. N. (Carpenter Newman) Arrington and Madelyn (Lightfoot) Arrington $1,900 property known as 829 Seventh street; and a lot known as 709 Taylor street was sold by the same parties to H. S. Cook for $1,100. Walter K. Whittle sold to L. T. Barton for $550 property in Nellieville on the south side of Mercier street.
