A retired farmer, rural mail carrier and security guard from Georgia Tennessee Mining and Chemical Corp. A member of Stapleton Baptist Church where he served more than 50 years as a deacon, Asst. Sunday School Superintendent and a clerk and treasurer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Boyd, sisters, Nellie Boyd and Jenibel Boyd. Funeral services conducted at Stapleton Baptist Church. Interment in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Lillian B. Stacy and Julia B. Maher; a sister-in-law, Rebie Boyd.
