I'm looking for the family Bible belonging to Joseph E. Brown Thaxton. The Bible was last in the possession of my grand aunt, Nellie C. Thaxton Crawford. I viewed the Bible in my aunt's house in 1983. She lived in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia. She died in Dec. 1989. Her husband, Clark H. Crawford, died June 1993, also in Spalding County. She didn't have any children from her marriage.
I would like to find the Bible because it has the genealogy of my part of the Thaxton Family that lived in Butts County from 1825.
I would appreciate any help that can be offered in locating the Bible.
