Franklin L. Varner
Died of measles at the residence of Edward Varner, at Indian Springs, Butts County, Ga., on Friday, the 26th of September last, Franklin L., infant son of Clinton L. and Ann Varner, aged 9 months and 3 days.
Enshrined in the affections of loving hearts, and the idol of the family circle, at a time, too, when increasing age was but adding new charms to the existence of this amiable and interesting infant, came the noiseless messenger. Stricken though in infancy, leaving parents, grand parents, relative and all who but passingly knew his sweet face, and smiling loveliness, to mourn the loss of him they loved so well. (Empire State - Spalding County - Week of October 15, 1856)
