News reached the city yesterday of the death of Capt. Wm. Andrews. He died at the home of his nephew, David N. Carmichael in Butts county. For some time past Capt. Andrews has been in very feeble health. He was a captain in the confederate army and while there, fighting for the cause he loved, was wounded, from which he has been a continued sufferer.Capt. Andrews lived in this city for quite a number of years. He was born in 1820, therefore was 78 years old. He was never married and is the last of a large family. His remains will be interred today at Towaliga church graveyard, in Butts county at 10 o'clock. - Griffin news
