HON. J.M. M'MICHAEL BURIED NEAR JACKSON
Jackson, Ga., February 17.--(Special)--Funeral services for Hon. J. Matt McMichael, aged 78, who died at his home near Jackson at an early hour Wednesday morning, were conducted at the Stark Methodist church at 11 o'clock Thursday morning. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Surviving Mr. McMichael are his widow, and two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Andrews and Mrs. W. S. Cook, and the following children: Walter McMichael, superintendant of schools in Randolph County; J. E., T. B., C. E., Jim and Emerson McMichael, Mrs. Pink O'Neal, Mrs. T. B. Williams and Mrs. V. W. Cole, all of Butts county.
Mr. McMichael, who was 78 years of age and a native of Butts County, in 1909 and 1910 represented his county in the lower house of the general assembly. (The Atlanta Constitution, February 18, 1921)
