A Brief History of Colquitt County

Colquitt County was created February 25, 1856 from Thomas and Lowndes Counties. Colquitt County is named for  Walter Terry Colquitt (1799-1855)

Towns and Communities: Moultrie (The County Seat), Berlin,  Doerun, Ellenton, Funston, Moultrie, Norman Park, Omega, and, Riverside
