Zenith

Zenith was named by the late Mr. W. R. Carr as being
the highest point between Macon and Columbus. Mr. Carr
was a large land owner in the area and also owned the large
grist mill at Gaillard, which was built by
Mr. Josiah Clark. First known as Clark Mill and later as
Carr's Mill. The mill was destroyed by tornado in 1924.
