This Indenture made this the 27th day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and forty-six Between Mary Slaughter of the county of
Crawford and State aforesaid of the one part and Jeremiah of the same place
of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Mary Slaughter for and in
consideration of the of sixty dollars to her in hand paid at and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowleged hath bargained granted and sold all my right title and interest
& claim in lot of land No 43 forty-three in the third District of Houston
originally now Crawford county which parcel of land I the said Mary
Slaughter will forever warrant and defer to the right and title there of
from myself my heirs Executors and administrators long and every other
person or persons whatsoever unto him the said Jeremiah Slaughter his heirs
and asigns forever in fee simple. In witness whereof I the said Mary
Slaughter have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date first above
written.

Personally appeared Nathan Fowler a justice of the peace in and for said
county - Wiley Webb who saith on oath that he saw Mary Slaughter sign the
deed for this purpose therein named and signed it as a witness and saw James
S. Webb sign it as awitness also.

Submitting the following indenture obtained from Crawford County courthouse
several years ago. Wording and spelling is how I believe it was
written. Page 420 is Wiley Webb loan to Jeremiah Slaughter $60 to be paid
back by Dec 25, 1846 or the said property reverts to Wiley Webb.
