Obituary
JOHNNIE CLIFFORD GEORGE
Funeral services for Johnnie Clifford George, 50, 2704
Hillcrest Avenue, who died Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in a
private hospital after several weeks illness, will be
held in Memorial Chapel today at 11 a.m. The Rev. W.
Lowry Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Union
Cemetery in Crawford County.

Pallbearers will include J. T. Rumph, L. H. Rumph, E. P.
Rumph, Willie H. Spurlin, Tom Parrish and John Ellerbee.

Mr. George was born in Crawford County, the son of J. W.
and Florence Beckam George. He has been living in Macon
for 15 years. He was in the butane gas business here at
the time of his death. He was a member of the Methodist
Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Misses Patricia and
Virginia George, Montgomery, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. R.
L. Sawyer and Mrs. Gladys Foster, both of Macon and Mrs.
L. L. Elerbee, Cottondale, Fla.; one brother, Vernon E.
George, Waycross, and several nieces and nephews.
