Court appointed road and patrol commissioners for districts for 1862 as follow:

Butler:  North of RR:  E. B. Waters, J. P., Andrew Mc Cants, C. A. Lloyd

Butler: South of RR :  T. R. King, J. P., James S. Bartlett, Willis Whatley

Reynolds:  Osborn Downing, J. P., William Ingram, Wm. H. Christopher, M. D.

Panhandle:  C. B. Dickson, J. P. and William Fickling, Benj. Beeland

Carsonville:  John Searcey, John T. Gray, T. J. Riley

Daviston:  Wm. H. Helms, J. P. , Hiram Drane, George Heath

Howard:  James Willis, John Jinks, Perry Watson

Cedar Creek:  Wm. A. H. Royal, J. P., James M. Stewart, Richard Green

Seaborn Montgomery paid $12. for repairing Montgomery's bridge across Patsaliga.

Thomas R. King paid $2.50 for bookcase to hold office books.

Following persons appointed to let out or have repaired or rebuild the follwong bridges:

Lowe's bridge:  Lorenzo D. McMillen, Shadrack W. Jackson, (44 1860) Lewis Fountain

Hill's bridge: James Williamson, James Thompson, A. M. Rhodes (was a minister of God)

Sutckey's bridge on Whitewater:  Jas. R. Elliston, John T. Garrett, Enoch Duke.  Elliston was paid $100 for this and $40.00 for repairing Hill's

Royal's bridge:  Wm. H. H. Royal, John S. Murray, John Forshee

Montgomery's bridge on Patsaliga: G. M. Davis, Seaborn Montgomery, James Ricks (Ricks and Montgomery paid $150. for building it.)

Bridge near James Moseley:  Bartley McCrary, Sr. A. J. Colbert, James Mosleley

Feb term 1862 

Ordered that the tax collector collect 12 1/2% on state tax for paupers fund, 25% for county purposes and 150% for a relief tax.

Dec., 1862

David O. Smith appointed a notary public.  James Griffith, David O. Smith, Robert Scandrett, Joel E. Montfort and William H. Herd appointed to carry into practice the laws of Ga. in relation to the smallpox prevention and care of those who have the disease or may hereafter have it.

Ordered that the road from Daviston to Jinks bridge on Whitewater be changed to go to T. McGee's grist mill.

Feb. term 1863 Jesse Stallings paid for work on well at courthouse and summoning jury .
