Francis Evans Glover

Frank enlisted in the State Troops in Taylor , County, Ga. to serve six months.  The troop was reorganized and he became a member of Company F (Capt. J. B. Fowler), Fifty-Seventh Georgia regiment, and was engaged in many battles,  Barboursville and Paris : he was  taken prisoner at Paris, he was first sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, and after  seven days he was sent to Cairo, he was then sent  to Vicksburg, he was exchanged in Vicksburg. After the exchange he fought in the battle of Bakers Creek near Vicksburg.     He returned from the war and spent his his life working his farm. He was on the Board of Commissioners in Taylor, County. He also was the chairman of the Confederate Veterans in Taylor County, Ga. Frank was the son of John P. Glover, Jr. and grandson of John Paschal Glover Sr., nephew of Elizabeth and Zephaniah Fowler.
