 From "The Macon Telegraph", Monday, August 10, 1903
"Death of B. J. Bechan (sic). Mr. B. J. Bechan (sic) died yesterday in Crawford county at the age of 64. He
is survived by a wife and four children--Mrs. WilliamOliver, Mrs. Florence George, Mr. O. A. Bechan (sic)
and Mrs. T. J. Hartwell (sic). The deceased was a member of the Roberta Lodge of Masons and will be
buried with Masonic honors. The funeral services will be held today at the family burial ground."


From "The Crawford County News", Friday, August 31, 1906 "CITATION: GEORGIA--Crawford County.
 Notice is hereby given to all creditors of theesate of B. J. Becham, late of said county, deceased,
to render in account of their demands to me within the time prescribed by law, properly made out, and all
persons indebted to make immediate payment to the undersigned.
      This the 5th day of July, 1906.

Friday, February 16, 1906 "SHERIFF SALES GEORGIA--Crawford County

      Will be sold before the Courthouse door in said County within the legal hours of sale on the first
Tuesday in March next, the following property to wit:Twenty five (25) acres of land in the south-east
quarter of the east half of lot number two hundred and thirty eight (238) in the Second District of said
county. The same being the hand conveyed by Mrs. A. F. Becham to O. A. Becham. Said property sold to satisfy
two executions issued from justice court 573 District of said county, in favor of L. R. Wright plaintiff
against O. A. Becham defendant. Terms cash. Tenant in possession notified. W. H. SEAGLER, Sheriff"

OBITUARY "The Macon Telegraph" Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1937 Tiny Jack Becham Hartley, daughter of Benjamin Jackson Becham.
"Mrs. Monroe Hartley-- Roberta, Ga Feb. 2--Funeral services for Mrs. Monroe Hartley, who died after a long illness at her home near here Saturday, were conducted by Rev. W. W.
Hill, at Dixon Methodist Church. The deceased is survived by her husband, two daughters and a number of grandchildren.  Interment was in the church cemetery."
