Pg. 327: NEELY, JAMES I.: Died Apl. 1856 age 37 yrs [From the ‘Vienna Progress” issue of May 16, 1901: “The metallic coffin [containing the remains of James I. Neely was taken up by Dr. C. T. [Stovall, from the New Cemetery and placed back within twelve feet of [where it rested for forty five years in the old Cemetery, this was done by [request of and at the expense of relatives in Augusta . There is a marble [slab at the head of the Grave which was intented for two Graves and the [old coffin was buried by the Grave that is headed by this slab, on one [side of the slab is engraved; James I. Neely, died Apr. 1856, age 37 yrs, [on the other side] Mrs. Julia Neely, died Apl. 1867, age 84 years]
