Surveyor's Notes:
MOUNT BEAZAR CEMETERY
Dooly County, Georgia
Most of the markers that we found in the cemetery on the East side of Hwy 90
just North of Hudson Road where we located the J. J. Collier Cemetery. Are listed in
Watts & Nora Powell’s Book as being Cemetery No. 4 – On Hwy # 90, about. 200 yards
west of the Campground Creek. NOT NAMED. We asked a man on Hudson Road if he
knew of any cemeteries in the neighborhood, he told us where the LEWIS CEMETERY
was and when we got there, the sign said MOUNT BEAZAR .
Then – MT. BEAZAR or HALL CEMETERY is listed in the Powell Books as Cemetery No.
85 and only HALL FAMILY MEMBERS are buried there according to the book. We have
NOT located this one yet.
Those found in this MT. BEAZAR CEMETERY that were in Watts Powell’s Book listed
in Cemetery No. 4 will be so noted. [4] This might help us establish some clues
as to the origin of this cemetery. Was it moved from another location?
Was it combined with another Cemetery ?
