Dougherty County, Georgia was created December 15, 1853 from Baker County.  The County Seat is Albany.   Daugherty County was named for Judge, Charles Dougherty, an Athens, Georgia resident.

Cities, Towns, and Communities: Acree, Albany, Pecan City, Pretoria, and Putney.
