1845 CENSUS of BIBB COUNTY

Georgia Messenger --- 2 Oct 1845
Census of Bibb County.

The following are the returns of the census of our county and city, which
have just been completed by Mr. Benj. Russell and Wm. Lawshe, Esq.
       Total white population,         5957
          “      slaves,                        4562
          “      free persons of color,        39
                                               
          “      population of city and county 10,558
The entire population of the city is 4,180. 
Of this, 2,442 are white, 1,709 slaves, and 29 colored free persons.
