Charles Franklin LAND, 51, of Gordon County, Resaca, GA., died December 26, 1997. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley William and Letha Mae Land, and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Wilma Land, Flora Franks, and Frances Moorehead; a brother, Junior Land; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 29, 1997 from the Combs Chapel of Clifford Free Funeral Home, with the Revs. Kenneth and Michael Blackstock officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Franks, Jerry Moorehead, Scotty Land, Joe Don Griffin, Glenn Blackstock, and Chris Blackstock. Clifford Free Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.

Flora Mae LAND, 39, of Gordon County, Resaca, GA., died June 16, 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley William and Leatha Mae Land, and had spent most of her life in Gordon County. She was a member of the Resaca Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Flora Franks, Miss Wilma Land, and Mrs. Frances Morehead; two brothers, Junior and Charles Franklin Land; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held June 18, 1990 from the Combs Chapel of the Clifford Free Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Blackstock conducting the service. Pallbearers included Arnold Land, Melvin Land, Presley Morehead, Jerry Morehead, Mark Greeson, and Alfred Land. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery . with Clifford Free Funeral Home of Calhoun in charge of arrangements.

Flora Viola LAND, 81, of Gordon County, Resaca, GA., died February 22, 1996, in Whitfield County, Dalton, GA.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. and Zinnia Brown Land. She had lived most of her life in Gordon County. Survivors include a daughter, Doris Jones; two sons, Billy Buford Land and E. G. Land; a sister Lula Harvey; a brother, Alfred Land; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 24, 1996 from the Bradley Anderson Memorial Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmie Timms officiating. Pallbearers were Kurt Kruger, Jeffery Allan Hedden, Michael Stephen Jones, Terry Burns, Melvin Land, and Scott Land. Interment was in the Fairview-Hall Memorial Cemetery. Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Marvin LAND, 65, died April 26, 2001 in Gordon County, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Ann Land; a sister, Leathy Mae Land; and two brothers, Ernest and Arey Land. Survivors include his wife, Froney Bell Land; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Richard Smith, Tina and Perry Hardin, and Katherine Parks; four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Charlene Land, Terry and Felicia Land, Tommy and Lavonne Land, and Timmy and Theresa Land; sisters, Delia Wimpy, Gurtrude Greason, Pauline Jones, Geneva Burnett, and Beulah Gorley; three brothers, Arnold, Melvin, and Arvil Land; and 21 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 29, 2001 at the Calvary Baptist Church, with the Revs. Bill Dowdy, Dalmar Davenport, and Maynard Thomas officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home of Dalton was in charge of arrangements.
