Alice Lee 'Allee' Jones OWEN, died June 29, 1948 in Gordon County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mollie Warlick Jones. Survivors included her husband, John Clifford Owen; two sons, Billy and Charles Owen; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Erwin and Mrs. R.S. Jones; and one brother A.V. Jones. Funeral services were held July 1, 1948 from the chapel of Combs Funeral Home with the Rev. Y. A. Oliver officiating, assisted by Rev. H. L. Baskin. Pallbearers were Dan Strain, C. E. Langford, S. J. Dobson, James Starr, Madison Byrd, John Edge and C. L. Moss. Interment was in Fain Cemetery.
John Clifford 'Billy' OWEN, 67, of Calhoun Georgia, died July 31, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry P. and Bell Mitchell Owen; and his wife Allee Jones. Survivors include two sons, William A. and Charles C. Owen; one granddaughter, LeVon Owen; one sister, Beulah Owen; two brothers, R. R. and Willie V. Owen. Funeral services were held August 2, 1959 from the chapel of Combs Funeral Home, with the Rev. A. B. Elizer and the Rev. Solon C. Couch conducting the service. Pallbearers were, Willard Henry, Jerry King, Nonnie Owens, Billy Hayes, Norman Miller Jr., John Slagle, Frank Walraven and Jack West. Interment was in Fain Cemetery.
Willie Vada OWEN, 79, of Gordon County, Calhoun died May 14, 1982 in Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry P. and Belle Mitchell. Survivors include his wife, Laura Owen; a stepson, Leeman Tankersley; a step-daughter, Mrs. Charme Franz; six grandchildren; one niece, Mrs. Pierce Tredwell; eight nephews, H. B. Jr., Ellis, William, Charles, Tom, Reeve, David, and Jimmie Owen. Funeral services were held May 16, 1982 from the First United Methodist Church of Calhoun with the Rev. Ed Padgett officiating. Interment was in Fain Cemetery.
