Elizabeth McEntyre TATE died August 20, 1913. On Wednesday morning Aug. 20th at 2 o'clock our dear sister, Mrs. Lizzie Tate fell asleep. During the long period of her illness and suffering she calmly, patiently and firmly trusted in our Savior, asking Him to gloryly Himself and let His will be done. We watched her grow weaker and weaker day by day, and we knew the Master was fitting her for her indwelling in "that house not made with hands eternal in the Heavens" She was unusually liberal in her views and charitable in her judgement, nor did she ever permit malice to rinkle in her kind heart, Her untiring effort to promote good, her pur unselfish like and character, her unshaken faith and sweet christian spirit, endeared her to all our hearts and produced impressions that time can never efface. It is useless to pronounce any words of eulogy on this Christian. To those who knew her words of eulogy are vain, for her walk in life speaks more than words. We tender to the bereaved husband, children and grandchildren heartfelt sympathy in this great bereavement, and commend them to God who has promised, "All things work together for good to those that love God". {Calhoun Times, October 30, 1913}

Card of Thanks
We wish to thank our friends and neighbors through these colums for the many acts of kindeness and careful attention so liberally shown us during the sickness and death of our loved one, Mrs. Lizzie Tate. May God bless and reward you all.
N. W. Tate and Children. {Calhoun Times, September 25, 1913}
