- CASH, Jesse Martin, b. 7 April 1858 in Habersham Co., son of
Jesse Thompson and Mary Ann (Perkins) CASH.....she the daughter of Logan Sr
and Fanny (Carpenter) Perkins, gr-son of Jesse and Mary Patricia (Hailey)
CASH. He left GA between 1876 and 21 Sep 1879 when he married Etta P Stone
at White Rock P.O., Franklin Co AR. (she a native of Cass/Bartow Co GA) They
had 10 children and settled in Paden,
Okfuskee Co OK (then Indian Terr) in about 1904-1906. He died in 1912
and she in 1925. Both are buried in Paden cemetery. (Martin

GRANT, Wilburn C. grant & wife Mary A. Walker. Wilburn was
born in Habersham Co, in 1843 s/o James M Grant & Elizabeth Walker. She
was the d/o James Walker & Nancy Grant. He appears in the 1850 & 1860
census for Habersham co, GA. He reappears in the 1880 & 1900 census in
Milton co, GA with his wife Mary and children. We know from there he went
to FL and then to
LA to sale his
invention's one was the Grant Quick Ice Making Machine. In 1905 he was
living in Cass Co, TX,
by 1910 in was living in
Taylor Co, TX.
In 1916 he was in Red
River Co, TX. From there he came to
Bexar Co. where he opened the
Grant Hotel in down town San Antonio. He made this his home till his death

I know he married in Gilmer County in 1844 and was in the 1850, 1870 and
1880 census of Bartow County. His wife was Jane Worley Kinsey. They came
to Habersham around 1823 to best of our knowledge from Pendleton Dist. of
S.C. I believe my great, great, great grandfather is buried in Habersham
but have not found out for sure. He was William Kinsey Sr. He came to
Habersham with his wife (Mary?) and 6 children. He was in the 1830 census

MCCOLLUM, Daniel, Pendleton District (now Pickens County) South
Carolina February 1826
Note: Daniel
was born in East Jersey (now New Jersey in 1760) and died in Habersham
County between March and September 1850. He lived in the Blue Creek
District, which became White County in 1857. He was listed in the 1830,
1840 and 1850 censuses of Habersham County, first with his family, then in
1840 and 1850 with his son-in-law and daughter, John and
Elizabeth McCollum Stovall. Filed his Revolutionary War pension papers
from Habersham County between 1832 and 1840. Was assisted by agents
Thomas Jefferson Rusk and Turner H. Trippe and Representative Richard W.
Habersham, who wrote two letters on his behalf. A Revolutionary War
marker is on his grave in the Old Blue Creek Baptist Church cemetery in
White County commemorating his Revolutionary War service as a militiaman
in Colonel Francis Locke's First Rowan Regiment, Rowan County, North
Carolina. (William

Carolina February 1826
John was
Daniel McCollum's youngest son (1805-1883). He and his wife, Hannah
Cantrell, were married about 1823 in the Pendleton District of South
Carolina and moved to Habersham with his father. He moved his family to
Cherokee County, Georgia about 1844. (William

Carolina 1822
Daniel
McCollum's eldest son (1789-1876). Served in Captain Benjamin Goss's
Company of Austin's Regiment SC Militia during the War of 1812. Married
Susannah Miller in June 1810 in South Carolina. Susannah died in 1824 and
William married Esther Edwards in Habersham County in 1826. Lived on
Brass Town Creek in 1830 and moved on to Walton County before 1840. Died
in Cherokee County in 1876. (William
