Marion in the American Revolution. He having died in 1800, she became a member of the family of Capt. Thos Baker, whose wife was her cousin, and the daughter of Dr. Richard Furman, who was for many years the pastor of a Baptist Church in Charleston. In 1816 she was married to Joseph A. He was twice happily married, his first wife died in 1851. His second wife and three children and three of the children of his first wife survive. Three sons and two daughters preceded him to the grave.

The Rev. Levi Stansell died on Tuesday 11th May, near Oxford, Newton co., Ga., in the 75th year of his age. He was born in Abbeville, South Carolina, and removed to Stanley co., North Carolina, where, on 4th Nov 1819, he married Miss Charlotte Howell. There he remained for 12 years. Archibald Peurifoy (local preacher) of Charleston. He was born in Sumter, but lived in Charleston from childhood until he came, early in 1863, to Buena Vista on the boundary line of Spartanburg and Greenville Districts.... leaves a young widow and three children. Mrs. Ann Oliver died March 14th 1860, at the residence of her son, Rev. R. C. oliver, in Spartanburg, S. C. She was the daughter of Rev. James Dickerson (P. Episcopal) of Cumberland co., Va., and she was born in that state November 18th 1795. When about fifteen years of age, she became a resident of Augusta, Ga., where she afterwards married James L. Oliver, and they fixed their home in Edgefield Dist., S. C. A. H. Lester. The Richmond Advocate is requested to copy.

Gen. Henry Harrison Kinard was born 29th March 1806 and died June 17th 1869. He was a native of Newberry District, S. C., in which his parents and also his grand parents resided. On 20th Feb 1827, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary A. Counts. By this marriage he had four children, two sons and two daughters. The elder son, Dr. James Pinckney, and the younger Capt. Jno. Martin, were called from time to eternity in the freshness and bloom of manhood. The two daughters Mrs. F. E. Holman, and Mrs. M. M. Humbert, wife of Rev. J. W. Humbert of the So. Ca. Conference, survive the death of their father. In 1851 he sustained the loss of the companion of his youth, and in the following year was happily married to Miss Louisa C. Counts. By this marriage he had four children. The eldest, little Mamie, was at the early age of seven called by the Good Shepherd, and three are left.

Jno Hunt, who died in Macon in 1854. She has left loving daughters and kindred.

Mrs. Sarah Bradford died at the residence of her son, George Auld, on 13th Sept 1869, just at the close of her 58th year. Her maiden name was Frederick. She was born in Charleston, S. C., Sept. 16, 1811. She married first Mr. Auld, and with him moved to the village of Laurens, S. C., Afterwards they went to Mobile, Ala., but soon returned to this place, where her husband soon after died leaving her five young children. One of her two children by her last husband died a soldier during the late war-- the other, a daughter, resides at the North. One of her sons, Frederick Auld, has been a member of the S. C. Conference.

Rebecca Billing Shepperson, only daughter of Wm. K. and Cornelia C. Moore, was born in Columbus, Ga., Nov. 30th 1844, and died in the same city Nov. 28th 1869, and was buried on the 30th. She was married to Mr. C. C. Shepperson, Nov. 28th 1868, by Rev. J. B. Cottrell of the Montgomery Conference, and was the mother of a sweet little son.
