Elias Sinclair was born in Wilson county ,Tenn, in 1808 and died July 21st 1875.
he was married in 1827 to Miss Sarah A. McDearmitt, who
died several years ago, leaving five children. He removed to Georgia in 1838,
and to Macon in 1852.

was reared a Presbyterian, but after her marriage
joined the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mattie E. Taylor, whose maiden name was Horton, wife of the Rev. William T.
Taylor, died at Crawfordville, Fla., July 23d, 1875. Sister Taylor was born in
Gwinnett county, GA., April 4th 1829. Her parents moved to Milledgeville when
she was about 13 years of age, where she resided until her first marriage to
a Mr. Clayton in 1852. Having removed to Valdosta
during her widowhood, she was there married to the Rev. W. T. Taylor, of
Thomasville, Ga. She had two brothers in Texas, ministers of the gospel, one of
whom is a member of the Texas Conference. W.

George Carter Dozier, son of Ezekiel A. and Lois T.
Dozier, was born in Wilkes county, Ga., October 5th 1842 and died at Warrior
Stand, Macon county, Ala., August 13th 1875. When twelve years old, he came with
the family to Alabama. In 1866 he married Miss Ella Adkisson, who died in 1868.
By this wife he had one child. In 1870 he married Miss Mary Thomas, who with one
little boy survives him. In August 1874, his sister, Rebecca L. Lovelace, of
LaGrange, died at her father's house at Warrior Stand.

days. He was a member of the Open Communion Baptist
Church of Virginia, in which state he lived for a short
time. He married in Virginia, but some came back to South Carolina. He leaves

untimely end in Stewart county, Ga., August 19th 1875. She was in rather better
health than usual and in company with sister Love Kimbrough. On the way home,
the horse ran away, threw her from hte buggy, and killed her instantly. From her
grandson ,Mr. R. C. Black... "She moved from Greene county, Ga., when young...
She moved to Stewart county, Ga., in 1845, was married three times, and lived to
sell all of her husbands and children buried." Only one grandson and

a steward of St. James Church from its foundation to

A. Matthews, in Fort Valley, Ga., October 18, 1875, in her seventy-eighth
year. She left her house in Lumpkin, in company with her daughter, for
a short visit. In early life she removed to Jones
county, Ga., where she was married in her nineteenth year. In 1833, removed to
Stewart county, Ga., in 1847 lost her husband, and in 1848 she removed to
Lumpkin, where she resided as long as she lived. She was the mother of

1806; and died October 24, 1875 at Lake City, Florida. She was married to Bro.
Gerry, December 21, 1827, at a time when the Conference

Mrs. John O. Clower was born April 9, 1850, and died in her native town,
Grantville, Ga., November 22, 1875. She was a daughter
of Mrs. A. C. Lambert, whose husband died years ago,
and a granddaughter of Rev. W. B. Smith, by whom she
was principally brought up. On the 15th of October 1868, she was married to Mr.
G. W. Clower. They were blessed with two interesting children; the younger was

Methodist Episcopal Church at Cedar Springs camp meeting at the age of sixteen;
was married February 12, 1829, and removed to Walker county, Ga., where she died

1875. When her sainted husband left us, she was expected hourly to follow, but
did not join him for nine days. She was in her 75th year, and he his 76th. Her
father Joel P. Green, was a man of large fortune on
Santee. Her former husband, Capt. James J. Rembert, was also a

Brother Francisco Diez, lay missionary to the Cubans of Key West, died at the
parsonage of the First M. E. Church on the 3d inst., aged about 38 years. He was
a native of the Canary Islands. When quite young his
parents moved to Cuba, where he was reared. At the age of 21 he came to this
country, having determined to make his home in one of the Southern states. He
spent a few months in Key West, and then removed to
Jacksonville. From thence he removed to Charleston, then to Augusta, Ga., and
finally to Savannah. Marrying Miss Ann H. Cushman... Chas. A.

physician. A husband, four sons, and four daughters,
two son-in-law, and one daughter-in-law, and eight grandchildren compose the
