WILL
Macon County, Georgia Will Book A Pg. 43 May 20, 1856
In the name of God, Amen, I DREAD WARREN of said state and county being of
advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart from this world, deem it
right and
proper, both as respect to myself and family, that I should make a disposition
of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me.
I therefore make this my last will and Testament, revoking
all others.
ITEM 1st - My Body buried in decent and Christian like way
suitable to my circumstances and condition.
ITEM 2nd - Just debts be paid.
ITEM 3rd - To Wife, SARAH during her natural life, all real property or land
with all rights of which I may have.
ITEM 4th - To wife,SARAH, during her natural life, my negro woman Mary, of dark
color and about 26 years of age. I give said negro Mary to my son Eli and his
children,
born & unborn, after the death of my wife.
ITEM 5th - To my daughter, ELIZA ROBINSON, wife of John Robinson and her
children by her present or any future husband, free from the disposition of her
present or future husband, my negro woman, Siller, about 26 yrs of age,Nep a
negro boy about 16 years old, Tom a negro boy about 12 years of age.
ITEM 6th - To son BRAY and his children, my negro girl Pat about 12 yrs old & my
negro boy, John about 17 yrs.old.
ITEM 7th - To Daughter CATHARINE ALLEN, wife of
James Allen and to her children {same conditions as above], my negro girl,
Cherry, about 21, Negro boy Leaf,12,; also 3 promissory notes amounting to
$930.00,
each of said notes became due 12-25-1850 and the maker is said James Allen.
ITEM 8th - Son JACKSON WARREN and his children, my negro girl Sile, 10, boy
March, 6 yrs. old
ITEM 9th - son, ELI WARREN and his children, negro man
Charles, 24 and girl Fill, 10.
ITEM 10th - son, FRANCIS WARREN and children, negro man Bose, 23 and Ned, 10,
Sarah, 9 yrs old.
ITEM 11th - I give, devise and bequeath the rest of my property, both real and
personal to my children and grand-
