Elizabeth Massee Algiers Will Abstract


Macon Co., Ga. Will Book A Pg. 59 April 11, 1859
I, ELIZABETH ALGIERS of Macon Co., Ga. being of sound and disposing mind and memory and being desireous to settle my worldly affairs while I have strength so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament, revoking all others. I commit my soul to God who gave it and my body to be buried in a Christian like manner and worldly estate I dispose of as follows:
ITEM 1st - Debts be paid.
ITEM 2nd - To daughter, SOPHRONIA WINTERS, my
negro woman, Minda and her increase and her two children Eliza and Soffa and their future increase, at her
death, to go to her children.
ITEM 3rd - To the children of my deceased daughter, MARY CARROL, the sum of ten dollars.
ITEM 4th - To son, THOMAS D. ALGIERS ten dollars.
ITEM 5th - To daughter, RUTHY MC CARTY, ten dollars
ITEM 6th - To son, CROSLEY/CROSBY ALGIERS, ten
ITEM 7th - I direct that the above sums of ten dollars, amounting to forty dollars to be raised from the sale of a
sufficient amount of stock for that purpose.
ITEM 8th - Further direct that my hosehold & kitchen furniture and the balance of my stock, & all other effects of
mine not already mentioned, go to & belong to my daughter, SOPHRONIA WINTERS aforesaid as she receives the negroes.
ITEM 9TH - The property I will, will not be subject to the debts of the husband of my daughter, SOPHRONIA
ITEM 10th - Appoint DREWRY W. MASSEE. Executor
