JOHN SPURLIN Will
Macon Co., Ga. Will Book A Pg. 30 6-18-1856
MACON COUNTY, GEORGIA - I, JOHN SPURLIN of the State & County aforesaid, being
of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this life do make,
ordain, publish & declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, that is to say,
I give, bequeath and devise of all my property as follows to my beloved wife,
The land whereon we now live &
75 Acres of Lot No. 235 until her death for her use and support of my brother
Silas and after their deaths, the land to be sold and equally divided with my
heirs .
It is also my will that my daughter REBECCA shall have a certain colt, that came
of a mare that we call Jane which is to be her own at my death.
After my death, I want all the rest of my house and all my cattle, sheep and
hogs sold after one years provisions for my wife and brother.
To pay all burial expenses and hold the balance of the money for her own
purposes.
Likewise I make, constitute and appoint my son, JOHN N. SPURLIN to be Executor
to this Will, hereby revoking all former Wills made by me.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand subscribed my name, and affixed
my seal the 18th day of June in the year of our Lord 1856.

The above instrument was subscribed by the sai d John Spurlin in our presence
and acknowledged by him to each of us and he at the same time published and
declared the above to be his Last Will and Testament.

adjournment Regular November Term 1856. Present William J. Collins, Ordinary.
The within Last Will and Testament of JOHN SPURLIN, deceased having been read in
open court and proven upon the oaths of William Moulton & Peter G. Moulton, two
of the subscribing witnesses to said Will ordered that the same be admitted to
