This cemetery is very old and the only "marking" was a stone wall surrounding the cemetery until two years ago when we put a Confederate marker on the grave of Henry H. Walker. The following people we know are buried there from obituaries published in the Meriwether Vindicator:
Henry H. Walker (husband of Paulina P. Blount)
1836 - Oct. 10, 1888
Hattie Walker (daughter of Paulina and Henry Walker)
February 1863 - July 27, 1878
Caroline "Carrie" Blount (daughter of Freeman and Sarah Blount)
Nov. 28, 1829 - May 1900
Mary "Mollie" Jane Smith Blount (wife of Eli H. Blount)
April 20, 1843 - April 13, 1890
The following people are almost certainly buried in this cemetery but we've been unable to locate obituaries or they don't specify where the burial took place.
Nancy Elnora "Nora" Blount (daughter of Freeman and Nancy Blount)
April 28, 1862 - October 5, 1863
Catherine Blount (daughter of Freeman and Sarah Blount)
March 28, 1829 - bef. 1870
Antinet Catherine Blount (daughter of Freeman and Nancy Blount)
February 11, 1857 - bef. 1870
Dura B. Blount (daughter of Freeman and Nancy Blount)
March 26, 1869 - bef. 1870
Eli Harris Blount (2nd son of Freeman and Sarah Blount)
April 4, 1833 - June 9, 1897
There may be more buried there but I'd hate to hazard a guess! I am a great, great, great granddaughter of Freeman W. Blount and Sarah R. Lassiter McDaniel Blount.
