CORBIN Surname

My father was there in Meriwether County in 1912 and he and his first wife had a son there.

My Father’s name was: Corbin, Lee Arthur [aka Arthur Corbin] and wife was Josephine [Denton] Corbin and they had a son William Lee Corbin that was born there in 1912. It is my understanding that Josephine died about 6 months or so after the birth of the son.

My father then married my mother Mary Alma [Shinholster] Corbin and it was there he signed the WW1 Draft Registration on 9-12-1918 in Greenville, Ga.

I have a copy of the WW1 form where he signed it.

The only reason I know of the first marriage is I knew William Lee and got his birth date from his family members.

If anyone has any info on Josephine’s death or about my father I’d appreciate it. Also any info that I might share I’ll be happy to do so.
