It 4 I give and bequeath to my son Banerster Cockram the one forth of the land to be laid of in a square to the Elum Corner also one one horse Ball one Bed bedsted one sheat & counterpin allso two ewes also the cow & calf that he Know has also the hogs I lent him -- It 5 I give and bequeath to my son James Cockram the one forth of the land to be laid of in a square to the hickry Corner also one ewe and lamb. TYPED WILL OF State of Georgia County of Morgan In the name of God I Banister Cockrum of the County and State aforesaid being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me. Item 1st I desire the payment of all my debts. Item 2nd I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarena W. Cockrum the lot of land whereon I now live containing two hundred two and a half acres more or less with the improvements thereon, also I give and bequeath unto my said wife Sarena W. Cockrum a negro woman named Samantha about twenty one years of age also I give unto my said wife Samantha`s two children William and Lewis one about nine months old and the other about three years of age, also I give unto my said wife two bed Bedsteads and furniture, one Beaurow ten white counterpanes, five coverlids, four checked counterpanes, four quilts, two stands of curtains, one loom and Spinning wheel, one clock and two chest one cupboard, one safe, eight chairs, cooking utensels, one table, six jars, two wash Tubs, one wash pot, six Bee guns, 1 set china, one sorrel mare with blaze face named Mary, four cows and calves to be selected by my wife from my stock of cattle at the time of decision Also my stock of hogs, wheat and corn on hand at the time of my death. Item 3rd I give and bequeath unto my son George one sorrel horse named Charlie. Item 4th I give and bequeath unto my son John one Beige Horse named Bald. Item 5th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Caroline Crow one grey mare named Queenie. Item 6th I give and bequeath unto my son Mark A. Cooper one Iron Gray Colt named Dack. Item 7 I give and bequeath unto my son Walter Branham one Sorrel Colt named Bill. Item 8 I direct that my land in this county not willed also my land in Sumter County 272 and three negroes named Dick, Wash and Isham to be sold and after the payment of my debts, to be equally divided between all my children, those of my children having had property given off to them to account for the same in this division. Item 9th I will and direct that all my property not included in this will to be sold and equally divided between all my children. Item 10th I nominate Iosias Boswill and Irby H. Cockrum late of this county deceased who being duly sworn
in open court Saith that they saw the testator Sign seal
the same by making his mark and heard him declare it to
be his last will and testament that he done so freely and
of his own accord that they subscribe to the same as
witness in his presence at his special instance and
request in the precence of each other and that they
believe he was of sound and and disposing mind at that

TYPED WILL OF Last will and testament of Sarena Cochran decl...d Georgia, Morgan County. I, Sarena Cochran, of said State and County - being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament - hereby severing all other wills that I may have heretofore made. Item 1st. Having heretofore made a deed of gift conveying all the real estate that I now own to my beloved grand children, John H. Cochran and his wife Nancy L. Cochran during their natural lives and at their deaths to their child now living and such children as may hereafter be born to them; and having heretofore given to my said grand children: John H. Cochran and Nancy L. Cochran all the money received by me as a pension from the United States Government - now it is my will and desire and I so bequeath and devise that my said grand children - the said John H. Cochran and Nancy L. Cochran shall have all the property - whether real or personal - which I may have at the time of my death - Including all money that I may hereafter receive from the United States Government as pension money, all personal property of every description whatsoever and every other species of property whether real or personal. Item 2nd I hereby constitute and appoint my Grand-Son - the said John H. Cochran, Executor of this my last will and testament I direct him to pay all my just debts - if any - as soon after my death as possible - I further direct him to have my body buried in a decent and Christian like manner. I relieve him from the necessity of making and returning an appraisement and Inventory of my estate, and of making annual or other returns to the Court of Ordinary - It is my desire that title to all my property - real - immediately after my death in my said Grand-Children. John H. Cochran and Nancy L. Cochran - I empower my said Executor to sell any of my property as he sees fit - privately or publicly - without an order of Court. This the 8 day of April, 1898.

TYPED COPY OF WILL OF Georgia Morgan County. In the name of God Amen! I Matthew Cockrun of the County and State aforesaid, being well strickin in years and calling to mind the certainty of death, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, and being desirous to dispose of what a good & gracious Providence has been pleased to bless me with, by will do make ordain, constitute and appoint this to be my last will & Testament in manner and form following to wit Item 1st I will and desire that my body be buried in a plain & Christian manner and at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named. Item 2nd I will and desire that all my just debts be first paid. Item 3rd I will and desire that my plantation in Morgan County be kept up, in the Same manner as If I were in life, that my negroes be kept together to labour on the Same, and that my son Matthew be bonded and educated out of the annual profits - arising therefrom, and that my wife Sarah in like manner be Supported out of the Same, and the balance of annual profits if any Shall be equally divided between my said son and his mother. In the event of my wife marrying or dieing during the minority of my Said Son I give and bequeath to my said son all my Estate of whatever nature or Kind it may consist, land negroes, household & kitchen furniture, plantation utensils, cash, notes or accounts - with this exception, if she marries, I give and bequeath to her one half of my household furniture and nothing more out of my Estate. Item 4th In the event of my Said Son dieing during his minority I give and bequeath all the Estate So willed to him, to my grand-children of my daughter Susan Ware now of the state of Alabama, to them and their heirs forever. Item 5 I will and desire that my friend John W. Porter act as Guardian for my said Son, and I do hereby appoint him as Such in this my last will, and that he have the management of his person and education, charging him to give him only a good English Education. Item 6th. I hereby nominate and appoint my friends John Robson and Benjamin M. Peeples to carry into effect this my last Will and testament. In Testimony whereof I the Said Matthew Cockrun hath hereunto Set my hand & affixed my seal this 29th day of July 1842
