Archives

The Morgan County Archives is right behind the courthouse in the old jail. There is no sign saying "Archives" or anything. It's open from 8-5 Mon-Fri. The archives contains all the old tax digests, census microfilm, land records, wills and marriage records that belong to the county. Some records (i.e. old church records such as Antioch, Brownwood) are kept in a vault in the courthouse.
