Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery

Compiled by: , Chuck Cronen and Lucille Butner

Directions:  This cemetery is located off Highway 61 going from Dallas, GA to Cartersville, GA. Turn off on Lindsey Loop and the cemetery will sit on a hill on your right.

Note:  The church no longer exists but the cemetery is well maintained. A little history - On land deeds dated July 12, 1854 it states "that they cause to be built thereon a House of Worship for the use of the Membrs of the Methodist Episcopal Church South."Older residents reported that the church building was used as a hospital during the War Between the States.

The exact number and identity of all the people burried here is not known as the records have been lost and the cemetery had declined to a deplorable condition before a Trust was established in1992.
